Diane,

Folks Gun Works of Bryan, OH., was in existence during the late 1800's. I believe (but don't remember for certain) the old fellow committed suicide. After his death, his son took over the business and converted it into a bicycle shop ca 1894 or thereabouts. I am told (depending on the condition of the rifle) the old guns made by Mr. Folk are only worth about $200; but don't take this as gospel from me. That value was about 5 years ago. I believe the Bryan Library has a file on the Folks Gun works. I recommend you contact Jane Kelly through the library web site at http://www.williamsco.lib.oh.us/
Jane can make you copies (for a very small fee) of whatever you need from the Folks Gun works file.
Hope this helps.
