Pat,
Am researching location of my g-grandparents burial sites in Montpelier vicinity.David And Mary Margaret JACKSON owned farm in Bridgewater township--same location where my grandfather, Emery JACKSON, was born.According to probate records, David was buried in "old Pioneer cemetery" in Aug 1910.Does anyone know present location and who may be so kind to do some cemeterylookups?I was thinking it was the Floral Grove Cemetery but no such luck.David, b Jan 10,1840, in Florence and wife, Mary Margaret LUKE, b May 14, 1848, in Edon.
Also--Need any info on Isaac and Margaret JACKSON, g-g-grandparents who farmed in
Florence twnp in 1840-1850.Have them traced back in Florence 1850 census, but then lose them earlier.Isaac died Nov 1854 in Florence leaving Margaret with 4 young kids--David, John, Isaac and Harmony.Guardianship records show that Thomas DAY assumed guardianship for the children but then in 1860 census, Margaret JACKSON and son, Isaac, appear living with Amos and Anna MYERS. Anna MYERS (nee LUKE)may have been the children's aunt. Was the Thomas DAY family also related similarly?
Any help appreciated,
Doreen JACKSON PETERSON
Sacramento, CA
