As I recall, My husband's great-grandfather was James Miller and he entered the Union Army at Marion, Indiana. After the Civil War, he married [wife's maiden name not known] and lived in Illinois. At least one child, William "Lon" Lonzo Miller [b. 24 Aug. 1869] was born in Douglas County, Illinois. This Miller family later moved to Kansas. Shortly after 1900, the Millers settled in Texas County, Missouri. We have no information on James Miller prior to his Civil War service.
