"History of Wayne County, Ohio 1998" found:
Merle Emerson Gray born 1-31-1921 was born in West Salem but has spent most of his life in Canaan Twp. He is the son of Carl (2-15-1891 1956) and Jessie (Bair) Gray (1-25-1891 1956). He is married to Marceline (Dunn) (2-8-1923) who was born in Manhatten, NY. The family farm "Gray Vu", at the intersection state rt 83 & 604 is a partnership dairy farm run by Merle and his son Robert. The Grays have six children. 1. Robert is married to Lucille Martin and they have three children Roberta, Karen (Brian) Christman one son Jeremy, and Susan. 2. William married Sharon (Brown) live Wallace, WV have two children Brenda and Michael. 3. Dorothy (Harold) Dravenstott who lives near West Salem their children are Charity, Harold Jr. 4. Kenneth married Helen (Armentrout) live near Creston have three children Holly, Kenny, and Jason. 5. Barbara (Greg) Corp lives near Creston has three children Jennifer, Heather and Nicholas. 6. Deborah lives in Wooster.
