I hope you are still actively seeking contacts on this. I have ancestry that involves Doylestown, but I have only a handful of given names. They are all in the same nuclear family, but that compresses them to a short time frame. I am hoping to find a connection to any Coopers in the Doylestown area.
My g-g-grandfather's brother lived and worked in Doylestown for some time, probably raising several, if not all, of his eight children there. At the same time my g-g-grandfather lived and worked just outside Wooster, so the family was connected with the region.
Unfortunately, I have no known connection to your Henry Cooper, but the time frame is right. If you can form any kind of a connection from what I have to offer, please let me know. My people are as follows:
David (1825-1902) and Amy (LOWE) COOPER married at Wooster, 1853.
David's brother, John Albert COOPER (1822-1899) lived and worked at Doylestown during an unknown number of years on either side of 1853. He married [unknown], probably in Doylestown, and had 8 children. I have very little more than their names: Jennie; Belle (married a Hanford); Mae (married Jake Heckler); Laura (married twice, first to an Ackerman); George; Louis (1853-1906); Frank; and Benjamin. I have only a few more names, since I have the names of some of their children. Louis, who had to have been born while the family lived at Doylestown (1853), had 6 children of his own: Sheldon, Robert, Emma, Isaac, Nellie, and William.
Unfortunately, that is the extent of my known connection to Doylestown. Have you found any other Coopers with connections to the town?
Best of luck to you,
