Hello,
I'm looking for information on a Samuel Coulter born in Wayne County, Ohio, in 1858. Apparently there are no birth records from that time. The 1860 census shows a Wm and Elizabeth Coulter living in Wayne County with a two-year old named Samuel, whom I presume is the person I'm looking for. I'm new at this whole family tree thing, so I don't know where to turn next. Would churches in town have baptism records? I'm planning to travel to Wayne County to do some research and would appreciate any advice. (I'm also cross-posting this to the Coulter forum.) Thanks, Ron Coulter
