Looking for descendants of or information on George, Jacob, or Margaret Slifer. Jacob Slifer is my ggg-grandfather and his wife was Jane Lewis. The family moved to Hancock County Indiana however George settled in Wayne County Ohio. It is believed that he was married and raised children there. They are children of Phillip Slifer and Catherine Jung (Young)and came to America from the Alsace Germany area. My mothers history states they endured shipwreck at sea, of course were rescued, boarded another ship and arrived safely. They were sold into white slavery upon arriving. Jacob and Jane are buried in Park Cemetery, Greenfield, IN. I would very much appreciate any information anyone has.
