Altenbeck family

My great great grandparents were married on 7 July 1849 in Wooster, Wayne County, OH. He was Joseph Danner and she was Maria Altenbeck. Joseph Danner was born in the Parish of St. Peter in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, on 1 October 1826, and died fighting for the Union Army on the first day of the Battle of Chickamauga, GA, on 19 September 1863. Maria Altenbeck was born about 1822-23, place unknown. She died on 18 June 1866 in Quincy, Adams County, IL. Joseph Danner immigrated about 1848. He and Maria were settled by 1850 in Quincy, IL, where they had four children. All four became minor orphans when Maria died.

I know quite a bit about Joseph Danner, but nothing about Maria Altenbeck beyond what is written here. I believe that like Joseph, Maria was also of German descent. However, I am not sure. Was she from an Altenbeck family that lived in Wayne County, OH, in the late 1840s? I don't know why Joseph went to Wayne County, OH, from New York City where he landed upon immigrating. Does anyone have any information about Maria Altenbeck or an Altenbeck family? If so, would you kindly e-mail Ed Danner at Thank you.
