Meeks Cherry Meason
I have determined that my GGG-GF is William J. Meeks, Sr., he was born on March 2, 1800, in Fairfield County, Ohio and died on 9/8/1875 in Fulton County, Ohio.
I am attempting to determine his father.
He was married to Rachel Carr in 1819, Rachel was born on 12/17/1798 in Fayette County, PA and she died on 8/15/1884 in Fulton County, Ohio.
William J. Meeks' father may have been Joshua Meeks that died in Fairfield County, Ohio in 1801.
Joshua Meeks is listed in the book;
Pioneer Period and Pioneer People of Fairfield
County with Ralph and Ann Cherry, when they arrive in
Fairfield County, Ohio in 1799 and tells of his death around 1801.
