Absalom Fox & Amanda Ingersoll

Absalom Fox married Amanda Ingersoll on March 5th, 1823 in Lebanon, Warren County, Ohio. Absalom 19, Amanda 23. I have the consent form signed by both fathers: Jonathan Fox and Ralph Ingersoll. Absalom and Amanda had one child born 28th Feb. 1824, Lebonon, Warren Co., Ohio, named Demetrius B. Fox. There may be another child according to Schuyler Co., NY Peole Who Settled in Michigan, and Protrait & Biographical Album of Ionia and Montcalm Co., MI, it states she has three children. Demetrius married Emily Catharine Shelly on Dec. 19th, 1848 in Lorain Co., Ohio. I also have their marriage form.

What I would like to know is what happened to Absalom Fox. Where was he born exactly (what date), when did he die and where is he buried? Or Did they get a divorce for that matter? If so, when?

Amanda is my 4th great-grandmother. She remarried to a Scofield around 1830 in NY according to the family bible. And had a son named William Nelson Scofield born Jan. 21st, 1832, where not sure - only NY. This is where my family comes into play. Maybe this is where the third child is, not sure. I do know Demetrius and William are on land records with Amanda (Scofield) in Huron Co., Ohio, as witnesses and also on census records for Michigan in 1860, 1870 and 1880.

If anyone can help me, it would be greatly appricated.

Karen
