Abajiah O'Neal was one of my ancestor connections. He came to the Waynesville area about 1808 and bought up a lot of land. They were Quakers. Elizabeth O'Neall married my Zachariah Prather Jr. in NewBerry county,S.C. When the married she never appeared on the records of the Quakers again. The fallowed her family to Warren county. My great grand father Hugh was born in Waynesville and his son Joseph Eber Prater was my Grand Father. Sharing this with you as your family my have been connected to this group of Quakers. They kept pretty good records. They released their slaves in 1800 in Newberry and had to go back to check on them to make sure they were doing alright. Thought this might give you some understanding of what was going on in the area at that time. Emil
