Society of Friends early 1800's

Can someone tell me about the Society of Friends or Quakers in this area early 1800's or good web site? Read a book about early samplers and needlework teachers which included Catherine Foreman.
Stewart family lived in near by Clinton Co. who came from New Jersey.
