Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

This completes one phase of our ongoing obituary project which combines all of the obituaries that we hold (over 46,000) into a single searchable collection and to search The Western Star microfilms back to 1900. Volunteers continue to search microfilms for earlier obituaries, working back from 1900 on a year by year basis. We still need your help! Our collection is heavily weighted to The Western Star newspaper. If you have any obituaries that are not listed in our collection, please consider sharing a copy with us.
=====================
Our indexes to birth records from 1867 to 1908 have been completed and are now online

=====================
Nine new publications have now been released in 2004.
