Judi - The Ruth Loomis reference is not a grave. It's from a Vinton Co. History from a bio of Victoria McGathey b. 1879 who married Wilmer Hardesty. Her 2nd child was Ruth Loomis. That's all. From the same book: Harry Loomis, a retired C & O mason, recalled Oreton from his earlier railroading days in a letter to the C & O "Chessie News." And goes on to tell of Oreton. I have some marriage records: George H. Loomis m. Rosetta Black 3 May 1857; Nancy C. Loomis m. John French 26 Aug 1852; John V. Loomis m. Ann C. Patterson 20 Sep 1862. On Greens I have: a preacher Joshua Green who came into the area in the early 1800's. Too many Greens for marriage recs for right now & you may already have. Still, let me know if you want them. Any specific Greens you want info on? Do you want info the the genealogy society in Vinton County? Sharon
