Hi, Laurie....
I looked up the Marcum/Markham surname in what cemetery books we have done and found 2. They are: Harvey Marcum, B. 1857, D. 1890, Wesley Chapel Cem., Swan Township; Margaret Marcum, B. 1862, D. 1916, Wife of Harvey Marcum, Wesley Chapel Cem., Swan Township.
We have another book of Vinton County cemeteries published by Alexander Local Gene. & Hist. Soc., which is Athens County and shows this, and seems to have an error: Ames W. Marcum, B. 1921, D. 1921, son of V. & M. D. MARTIN, Bean Hill Cemetery, Knox Twp. So on the Marcum/Martin listing, I don't know which is in error. There are several Martins listed, but no names of a male starting in V., nor any females with both M. and D.
Beyond cemetery info, do you want any of the other references to Marcum/Markham in any other books?
