The Vinton County Court of Common Pleas, Probate Division, charges $2.00 for each non-certified death record. It has taken them about four months or longer to send me records I have requested (prepaid) by mail. So be prepared to be patient. As for the obituaries, the newspaper publishing them may be a publication in a county other than Vinton, depending on where in Vinton County the people resided. For example, newspapers in Wellston cover the adjacent part of Vinton Co. So you may want to check with the library closest to the place where your relatives lived, even if it's not in the same county. I have gotten obituaries from several libraries in Ohio, and all the librarians have been helpful and friendly. And they have responded a lot faster than the people at the Courthouse.
