Charlotte: I went thru all my Vinton County books, including Grandpa's but found no Benjamin Preston Hawk. The closest I could get was Benjamin L. Hawk m. Anna Keck 27 Nov 1881. Do you have access to History of Hocking Valley, 1883 that Kay told you about. I have it, but it an old original beatup one that was Grandpa's and some of the pages are missing. A surname index for Hawk lists around 30 pages worth. We do have the book at Vinton County Hist. & Gene. Soc. so can get the missing pages if you need them. Let me know. As an aside, my great grandmother's first husband before she married John Ogan, was Allen Hawk. They had a son, George Hawk. Have not done any Hawk research.
