Hamilton Bishop was born 27 Jul. 1844 in Dublin, Franklin Co. OH, the son of Fenley Bishop and Elizabeth J. Dickerson. He died 2 Dec. 1913 in Coburg, Lane Co. OR. He was buried 4 Dec. 1913 at the Lebanon IOOF Cemetery in Linn Co. OR.
Hamilton Bishop married Sarah A. Brobeck on 9 Dec 1866 in Union Co. OH. She was born Jun. 1846 in OH. The couple lived in Union Co. OH until about 1875 when they moved to Linn Co. OR. On the way to Oregon, their son George was born in Illinois.
In 1880, Hamilton Bishop, farmer, is living in Harrisburg Precinct, Linn Co. OR with his wife Sarah A. Bishop and their four children. According to the 1892 Linn Co. OR taxpayer list, only 7 taxpayers out of 162 in the Sweet Home Precinct paid more taxes than Hamilton Bishop.
Hamilton and Sarah Bishop had four sons:
1. Harry Crawford Bishop was born 7 Mar. 1868 in Dublin, Franklin Co. OH. He died 14 Sep. 1930 in Coburg Lane Co. OR. He married Mary Susan Wigle 12 Jun. 1889 in Linn Co. OR. She was born Sep. 1871 in OR. She died in 1969. They had three children:
a. Myrtle M. Bishop was born Mar. 1891 in OR. She married Ray W. Pirtle on 7 Apr. 1909 in Lane Co. OR.
b. Phillip M. Bishop was born 14 Jul. 1898 in South Harrisburg, Linn Co. OR. He died Mar. 1978 in Portland, Clackamas Co. OR. He married Sadie Oct Berg circa 1923 in OR. She was born circa 1902. Her parents were born in Sweden. She died 12 Apr. 1969 in Multnomah Co. OR.
i. Patricia J. Bishop was born circa 1924 in OR.
ii. Barbara J. Bishop was born May 1927 in OR.
iii. Phyllis Y. Bishop was born Mar. 1930 in OR.
c. Mildred S. A. Bishop was born 6 May 1907 in Coburg, Lane Co. OR. She died 17 Sep. 1968 in Eugene, Lane Co. OR. She is buried in Lane Memorial Cemetery in Eugene, Lane Co. OR. She was married in 1926 in Eugene, Lane Co., OR to Charley Winston Davis son of Lee and Lena Davis. They had at least two children:
i. Sandra Joene Davis
ii. Gayle Philip Davis
2. Joseph S. Bishop was born 18 Aug. 1869 in Dublin, Franklin Co. OH. He died 6 Jun. 1935 in Portland OR. He married Hattie E. Lloyd on 19 Jan. 1899 in Garfield Whitman Co. WA. The couple had at least three children:
a. Harold Lynn Bishop was born 13 Jul. 1900 in Garfield Whitman Co. WA. He died 25 Nov. 1939 in Missoula MT. Harold Lynn Bishop is listed in the Hargrave family genealogy as being married (1st) to Ethel Glenn Mack in Spokane WA. No date is given. Harold Lynn Bishop married (2nd) Hattie E. Lloyd in Spokane WA 28 Dec. 1921. The couple had the following children:
i. Barbara J. Bishop, born circa 1924.4

b. Mabel R. Bishop was born ca. 1909 in Spokane WA.
c. Helen M. Bishop was born ca. 1913 in Spokane WA.
3. George James Bishop was born 30 Aug. 1874 in IL. He died 11 Jul. 1945 in Jackson Co. OR. He married Millie Drusilla Gartin 11 Oct. 1899 in Garfield Whitman Co. WA. Did this couple have any children?
4. John Delmer Bishop was born 3 Feb. 1880 in OR. He died in 1931 in CA. He married Linda Lydia McNeel in 1912 in the State of Washington. She was the daughter of Andrew Gatewood McNeel and Virginia Katerine (Kate) Dunn. John and Linda Bishop had at least four children:
