Mary Margaret Markley Horine

My G grandmother Mary Margaret (Markley) Horine--John Horine shows in the 1860 census. Also a Ludewick (a Bro We figure)and a John William (son). What happened to Ludewick? We heard that M M M came to New York as SYT (sweet young thing 14-18) with a sister and her husband. The sister died and was buried at sea and in New York the Brother in law went back to where they came. With all Her funds. Leaving her to fend in NY.
Would her name be on ship records or would it be with as under the adults name?
I would like to find the way names are spelled and where she (they) came from in (Germany). Sisters name and etc. We were told that the family had linen mills there. ( Where?)
We know that the Horines went to Carroll County Missouri to live and die. Later info--searching for earlier. We have other postings on here also--still searching though.
Would like to share info. Or lots of help.
Thank You very much --Bonnie D
