Mary,
Yes, I did go to the Dennison Hist. Society when I was home last summer. They had no birth record for my grandmother there either. I even went to Cadiz and looked in those monster size books for a record---nothing. I was told at the Cadiz courthouse that so many babies born back then were born at home by midwives and were never recorded in the county. I will have to look thru my long list of Ferrell's to see if I can find a Hugh Ferrell. I might be able to find some more information there. Thanks for your help!
