John Funk - New Philadelphia 1804-11

I am researching the Funk line, and found this notation in Jefferson Co. OH in a Spencer Ledger (mercantile record) for the years 1804-1811: "John Funk, an old Dutchman who lives in New Philadelphia". Not much to go on, but a lead.
I will appreciate any guidance or leads, and will be glad to share what I have. Thanks.
