Cynthia-- Thank you for your response. Mary Ross keeps popping up. My sister (1921-1994) was Mary Jane Ross. The only other related one in my data base at present is Mary E. Ross (b. 1846)daughter of William Ross (1804-1898) and Eliza O'Donnell (1816-1898) His parents were Joseph Ross and Mary Cahill (b. abt 1775) William had two sisters Nancy and Sorana. William and Eliza had 11 other children. Belinda (b.1836), Rebecca (b.1838), Rosannah (b.1840), Samuel (b. 1841), Matilda (b.1844), John (b.1847), Nancy (b.1849), Joseph (b.1852), Thomas B. (my grandfather 1854-1931), Sarah (b. 1856)and Ellen (b.1859.)It is quite possible that some of the Rosses migrated West along what is now route 36. Maude, Benjamin and Kate do not appear in my data base at present. The Thomas surname is interesting.
