Solomon W. Foreman of Tuscarawas County

I am seeking information on the family of Solomon W. Foreman. He is found as a son on the census record for 1850 for Jacob and Elizabeth Foreman in Tuscarawas County. He also has a brother, Washington listed as well. I found a marriage record for Solomon and Margaret Price for March of 1852 for both Tuscarawas County and Harrison County. I suspect that Margaret's family came from Harrison County. I have not been able to find Solomon on the 1860 OH Census, but did find him on the 1870 CA Census, Yolo county and 1880 CA Census San Luis Obispo County. Solomon was described as a Civil Engineer and had a number of children according to the two census records. Julia A, Emma D, Alice L Abbie J, Kate C, Anna F, Mabel and Harry. Julia was born in OH, Emma and Alice were born in IA, Abbie, Kate, Mabel and Harry were born in CA and Anna was born in NV. What I am attempting to determine is whether Solomon had two sisters: Lydia and Sarah Foreman who were older than he was. I do not have proof, just a hunch based on the fact that Lydia had a son, Solomon W. Steelsmith. It seems like an uncommon name however, it could just be a coincidence.

Thank you,

Karen Harris
