I am researching the family of Baltis (Baltus) Ruple, who is reputed to have married Ann McCollum in Bedminster twp, Somerset County, NJ ...I would appreciate any information on Baltus that would verify his presence in NJ ...any documents or transactions or vital records found there ....

The NJ State Archives found that Baltus was in Bernards Township, 1788-1790, and in Bedminster Township in 1793, in Somerset Co, NJ, according to Tax Ratables.

If there are any church records or records documenting the fact that Baltus was a widower with four children when he married Ann, or any information that he, in fact, married Ann McCollum in Bedminster township would be MUCH appreciated .....I also would like to find the European place of Origin or ship's list for Baltus Ruple into the NY, NJ or PA areas. Thank you very much
