John Custer was b. February 26, 1782, d. December 09, 1830, Hampshire Co., VA [now W. VA].
Nancy E. Abel, John Custer, m. 11 May 1802, chr, father and mother were blank. Nancy E. Abel, She also submitted Family Group Sheet. She didn't list child #1, but John Custer, Jr. was listed in the Custer Family Bible.
Uncle Paul Custer married in Germany, Came to America.
Muhlenberg baptized an English child, "Rebecca Custer"., The father alone [Paul Custer] stood as only person witnessing her baptism.
Chaulkey's Chronicles of the Scotch Irish, P1 Custard, The information on these "Court Minute" pages was taken from "A History of Rockingham County Virginia" by John W. Wayland which was published in 1912. The minutes are from the first county minute books and cover the period from 1777, when the county was first formed, to 1784. They include mention of many of the early residents of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, especially in relation to compensation for provisions contributed during the Revolutionary War. The minutes also give an interesting picture of life during that period.

Joseph Custer & John Custer were half brothers. Joseph was b. April 13, 1800, d. December 1836. He was son of Emanuel Custer & Ann Miller.
