Looking for information on the family of my great-great-grandmother, Roxana L. Birchard, who was born in Ohio in 1833 and married in Braceville Township to Thompson Wallace Allen in 1850. She is almost certainly the sister of Newell C. Birchard, born in Trumbull County on Nov. 2, 1836, who relocated to Pottawattamie County, Iowa around 1856, and is also possibly the sister of the Joseph Birchard, born circa 1830, who is found (with wife Sarah or Sara) in Windham township, Portage County, through most of the latter half of the 19th century. I am particularly interested in finding whether she (and her brothers) were part of the family of a Martin Birchard found in Newton township in the 1840 census and/or the Martin Burchard found in Fowler township in 1850 (who may or may not be the same person).
