I don't know if you have found this out already, but it is impossible that this William Rook is the son of James Rook and Martha Adams. They weren't even married until July 29, 1809. Their son William who married Laura Lawrence wasn't born until November 20, 1813. These dates are from James Rook's War of 1812 Pension papers.
