Part two. Too fast with the "click" :( Must be getting late.

Anyway, as I was saying, Helen A. Rice was born about 1856 and I believe she died as a young adult. I think she had somekind of illness.

Benton F. Rice was born July 24, 1854 and died Jan. 15, 1927. He married Alice Hoyes, but they later divorced. Benton, who had moved to Detroit, returned to Newton Falls for a visit with an old friend who happened to be an undertaker. After a short visit with his friend, he went into the next room, took out a gun and shot himself in the head. He died a short time later at 73 years. A note said he was worried about his mental health.

Two daughters of Benton and Alice were Nellie Rachel Rice, b. Jully 1885 and Lottie E. Rice, b. Jan. 1888.

If any of this sounds familiar or perhaps connects with the Rice families you've found please let me know. Perhaps we can share other connections. Like Amelia Borden and Robert Crane.

Bob Benton, La Verne CA
