Yes, I do remember us corresponding and truly believe J. Michael Wyrick is related, though I have no real proof yet. I found him listed as Michael Wyrick in the 1830 Trumbull Co Ohio census showing
2 males over 5 under 10
1 male over 10 under 15
1 male over 15 under 20
1 male over 50 under 60
1 female over 10 under 15
1 female over 15 under 20
1 female over 50 under 60
His age here would go along with the 1850 census.
Robert is listed in the Ashtabula, Wayne Co, Ohio 1850 census with his first wife Rosetta and two of their children, Juliette born 1848 and Roselia born Feb 1850. I haven't found him in 1860 though he married Emily Fields in 1859 in Kane Co, Illinois, and their first child was born July 1860 in Monmouth, Warren Co Illinois. Plus he enlisted in the Civil War in Illinois. He appears again in the Iowa Mills Co 3rd Ward Glenwood page 034 in 1870.
At some time they moved to Pennington Co, South Dakota and eventually ended up in Washington State.
I have found from another family line county lines and even state lines changed back then. The families never moved but the lines did. I thought that was really interesting. I haven't checked to see how close together these counties are so not sure if that is the case regarding the three brothers.
I recently received a copy of the Illinois Civil war roster when Robert enlisted and that was how I discovered exactly where he was born. He listed Warren Trumbull Co, Ohio. Before that, I just knew he was born in Ohio. That was all the information he wanted to give the family. No parents, no siblings, nobody.
I do thank you for responding Gayle and I do plan to stay in touch.
