Looking for information on family of Peter Rufener (various spellings include Ruffner, Ruffener, Rufner). B. about 1856 in Switzerland, d. 4/17/1937 in Suffield, Portage Co., buried probably in Mt. Peace(?) Cemetery. Wife was Sophia (maiden name unknown). He was a cheese maker by trade. Probable children: Emma (married Alexander Wilkie), Helen (married Gerald Stevens), Ernest (married Abbie Weaver), Ada (married 1)Louis Watson, 2)a Reed), Elizabeth Sophia (married John Dockus 9/4/1906). There may be other children. Would like more info on his family-parents, children, wife, places where the family lived, etc. Especially interested in daughter Elizabeth.

Is there a family relationship to Jacob Rufener who died in 1917 in Windham, Portage Co.?

I believe descendents live in the Akron, Summit Co., Portage Co. area.

Appreciate any information.
