Manley & Son Photographers in Canton, Ohio
Posted by: Kristi Hay Hilton (ID *****4150) Date: May 27, 2006 at 07:20:11

I have a photograph of Herman and Henry Strobel taken by Manley & Son in Canton, Ohio. My grandmother wrote on the back that it was my 2nd great grandfather's brother & nephew. I believe that it was his father & brother.

I'm trying to see when Manley & Son were in business to try to date the photo. The man looks to be in his 30's and the boy is around 14. If it is the brother and nephew of Loomis Strobel, then the picture was taken in the 1900's. If it is the father and brother of Loomis Strobel, then the picture was taken in the 1870's.

Any help would be appreciated.
