Did you ever learn anything? I'm trying myself to figure out the Hoovers of early Stark County. I've got records of four Polly/Mary Hoovers marrying there in the 1820s, but only have the fathers of two of them. I'm happy to share notes, but I probably can't tell you anything you don't already know.
