Descendants of Mary S. Chinn

I am looking for descendants of MARY S. CHINN who married first THOMAS H. SMITH 7 Jan 1864 in JASPER COUNTY, IOWA---married second RICHARD MYERS 10 Dec 1866 in JASPER COUNTY, IOWA.

I am a descendant of THOMAS H. SMITH and MARY C. WILEY (whom he married first). They had one child, JAMES MONROE SMITH. Mary died 4 months after his birth. Thomas was in Civil war and when he came home on leave because of injury he married MARY CHINN. He died of injuries/illness 13 Dec 1864 and is buried in New Albany, IN.

James was not raised by Mary Chinn Smith---she married RICHARD MYERS and custody of James was granted to maternal grandparents.

Looking for info concerning Thomas H. Smith that might have been in the posession of MARY CHINN SMITH MYERS and hoping that it got passed down through generations and someone is wondering what to do with it. I know this is a lot to hope for, but stranger things have happened. The earliest information I have on Thomas is that he was born in STARK COUNTY, OHIO ca 1839. I believe he is with a GALLOWAY family in 1850 in LEE TOWNSHIP, CARROLL COUNTY, OHIO. He shows up in JASPER COUNTY, IOWA in 1856 living with a brother to Mary Wiley. If anyone happens to have information, documents or pictures of my Thomas please contact me.
