Hi - I think we are into the same family. This is also my ex-husband's family and has been hard for me to research. I have a copy of a letter that shows William and Mary A. Adams Hillerman lived in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1853. They moved to Malvern, Ohio, in the 1860's, William Hillerman had a sister, Hannah who married George Hardesty and they lived there also. George Hardesty owned a flour mill and were quite well-to-do, but had no children. William and Mary Hillerman had 6 children:(1) Georgetta Hillerman b. 25 Aug 1853, married Benjamin F. Metz. (2) Annie Hillerman married a Mr. Cook. (3) Lydia Holly Hillerman married a Mr. Holly. (4) Belle Hillerman married a Mr. Gilmer. (5) Josiah Hillerman. and (6) Kate Hillerman married a Mr. Dawson. The Hillermans were supposed to be Quakers - or Pennsylvania Dutch.

These children are different than the ones you show, but the letter was written by Ada Metz Wilson, a daughter of Benjamin Metz and Georgetta Hillerman. She said she knew all of the aunts and the uncle. I knew Ada and she was quite a historian, so I think her letter is probably true. Could there be another generation in between. Or - were there more children that she did not list. I believe all of the daughters except Georgetta moved to Auglaize County near Lima Ohio after they married. Let me know what you think. You may email me direct at pbjanos@aol.com. Barbara
