Blythe - Blithe-Blith

Hoping to find a connection to my great great grandmother, Mary Ann Blythe, who, according to census records, was born in Ohio and married John Henry Housen (native of Germany) and moved to Louisiana and later Austin, Texas, where she died. She was a seamstress. His occupation was listed as machinist.

Mary Ann Blythe was born circa 1827 – 1828. Census records have her birthplace as Ohio and parents born in Kentucky. She may have been born in Stark County, Ohio.

She married John Henry Housen, about 1857 somewhere.
Their daughters were named Ida and Mollie and sons, Henry, William and Thomas.

By 1865 Mary and John Henry were in New Orleans, Louisiana.

1865 Orleans Parish Birth Index - E through K
NAME OF CHILD/ Thomas Housen --Name of FATHER/John -- NAME OF MOTHER/ Mary Blythe

Housen chronology from family Bible
1850 married in Lawrence Co, Indiana
1853 child born Cass Co, Indiana
1853 wife Mary Harrison died Howard Co., Indiana
1856 child died Lucas Co Ohio

Mary Ann Blythe and John Housen children:
1859 son, William, born January New Orleans, La
1862 daughter, Ida born Louisiana
1867 daughter, Molly born Louisiana

Could Henry Blythe, born Stark Co. and moved to Lucas Co., Ohio have been Mary’s brother? Both named daughters Ida. John Housen also had a child who died in Lucas County. Any help appreciated!
