Jonas C. Stockwell and Jonas Stockwell

I am seeking information about the Stockwell families in Seneca and Huron Counties, Ohio. Jonas C. Stockwell (born 1815) was the son of Anson and Elizabeth (Clapsaddle) Stockwell. The parents are buried in Liberty Cemetery near Amsden in Seneca County. Jonas C. married Adaline Peak in Huron County on 27 April 1836. They moved to Indiana and on to Michigan.

The 1840 federal census in Greenfield Township, Huron County also has a Jonas Stockwell. The census indicates he was born between 1780 and 1790. Can anyone help connect these two families? This Jonas Stockwell is not found in later census reports in the county.

Thanks,
J. White
