This ia another update. Just hoping some one can connect to this family.
My dad was raised by his grandparents David W Newman and Rosa [Nelson] Newman after his parents died. Well I could follow Rosa and David in the census till 1930. The thing was I couldn't find Rosa's family. Well Howard Jarrell wrote and said he found a Rosetta in the 1880 census a sister to Findley Nelson who happens to be married to Celia Newman who is the daughter og my gg-grandfather Richard Newman and Nancy Jane Evans. So I had to find proof. I found on the Scioto County death cert. index a Rozetta Newman that died in 1936. I just got it on Monday. Well I opened up that envelope and screamed and jumped up and down. Now Becky is trying to read it as I am doing this. We must have been a sight. So,,,,,,here is what it said:
Rozetta Newman: Husband David Newman.
Born: 12/14/1860 in Scioto County
Died: Aug, 25, 1936 Scioto County
Father: Arthur Nelson
Mother: A big drum roll please!!!!!! Elizabeth Freeland, a brand new gg-gramdma.
Signed by my own Aunt Grace [Newman] Webb
And Buried in the Sandy Springs Cemetery
