I am researching Fanny (Frances) Greenwell, daughter of Elias and Sarah Greenwell (of Wilkes Co. NC) who was born about 1790-1800 in South Carolina. On 8 Jan 1831 she married in Wilkes Co. NC to Henry Hardin "Save" Cockerham. They had two known children ... Elias and William Henry (Dee). Elias Cockerham was born about 1833 in NC, probably Wilkes County. William Henry Cockerham was born about 1836 in Wilkes Co., NC. He married Eliza Hargis Armstrong in Morgan Co., KY on 11 May 1859.
Does anybody know exactly when/where "Save" Cockerham died? Fanny married Benjamin Albright Johnson in Morgan co., KY on 10 Oct 1844. They are shown in that county on the 1850 US Census. She had two boys by him ... Jedadiah/Jediah Johnson, born about 1846 in KY and Benjamin born about 1847 in KY.
Fanny died in 1864 in Portsmouth, Scioto Co., OH. According to descendants she went there because she was threatened by Southern sympathizers. If anybody has knowledge of these people, please let me know. I would like to know more about Fanny's boys, particularly Elias and the Johnson boys. Thanks.
