ETHALINDA BIBBY was born in Scioto County, Ohio, Dec. 9, l826, and died in Decatur County, Iowa, May l7, l904, being 77 years, 5 months and l4 days old. In the year l84l, the deceased was united in marriage to JOSHUA B. BELLAMY. Of this union 12 children were born, namely 3 boys and 9 girls. Three of the children with their father, have preceded the mother and other children to the better land.

MRS. BELLAMY came to this State in l845, and in the year l856, located in Decatur County, which has been her place of residence constantly until her death. In early life the deceased was a member of the Methodist Protestant Church, since coming to Iowa she has never united with any church, but her sympathy for the church and her love for her Master has never wanted. It was a matter of joy to her to hear the word of God preached and to sing the songs of Zion. Her death has removed from the community, a good neighbor, and caused the children to be bereft of a loving mother.

Funeral services were conducted at the late residence by Rev. I.N. Woodward, of Leon, and the body was laid to rest in the Shy Cemetery.
