Hi Lisa,

I came across some information on Phoebe's family last year on the Ohio GenForum site.

This information was emailed to me by the person who posted that information, Lois Lambert.

Phoebe's parents were Samuel Miller, born 2 May 1804, Montgomery Co. Ohio & Eunice Peckham born 11 Dec., 1801, Jefferson Co., Ohio.

Samuel died 6 July, 1858, Jefferson Township, Scioto Co., Ohio and Eunice died 1889, Clay Township, Scioto County, Ohio (she died of Typoid). Both are buried in Pine Grove Cemetary, Scioto County, Ohio. They were married on the 7 of Feb. 1826, Jefferson Co., Ohio.

Children of Samuel & Eunice:

Timothy B. Miller
Born 1 April 1831, Jefferson Township, Scioto Co., Ohio. Died 14 Mar. 1862 Jefferson Township, Scioto Co., Ohio
Married Isabella Rose, 1 March 1860, Scioto Co., Ohio

Mary Jane Miller, Born 1837
Married Simeon Carley, 19 Jan.1860

Samuel G. Miller, Born 1840, Jefferson Township, Scioto Co., Ohio

Phoebe Ann Miller, Born 1842, Jefferson Twp., Scioto Co., Ohio. Married John Calvin McNelly.

Rhoda Miller, married GW Thompson before 1858

Samuel Sr.'s parents are presumed to be John Miller (1766 - 1825) of Westmoreland Co., PA who died in Montgomery Co. Ohio and his wife Jane (surname unknown). They had 10 children (Samuel is listed as the 9th).

Eunice is perhaps the daughter of Timothy Peckham of Rhode Island, but there is no confirmation of this.

Hope this helps.

-Pam
