MJ, did you ever find any information on the NIXON family in the first half of the 19th century in Ross Co.? My 4xgt.grandparents' daughter, Catharine "Katie" Caldwell(d/o Crawford and Sally McClure Caldwell, was b. 1831 d. 1914), married John H. Nixon in Ross Co.or Highland Co. but all I have for him is a name and the dates from the cemetery: b. 1820; d. 1898. Katie and John Nixon were both buried in the Greenfield Cem., Madison Twp. Highland Co. . Evidently Greenfield in Highland Co. is only a few miles away from Paint Twp in Ross Co. I would appreciate hearing from you.
