Dear Patty:
Thank you so much for responding to my posting about Taylors in Ross County, OH. Where in Ohio do you live, if I may ask. I'm from Denver, CO.
My gggrandmother was Eliza Jane Taylor, b. 5 Apr 1824 in Ross County, m. ca 1841 to Elijah Truitt.
Between 1859-62 they relocated to Yates City, Knox County, IL bringing 8 children with them. In IL, Eliza Taylor Truitt gave birth to 3 more children. Among the children born in Ross County, OH was my ggrandfather John Taylor Truitt, b. 17 Oct 1847, d. Bartonville, IL 30 July 1910. He is buried with 2 other brothers beside their parents at the Yates City Cemetery.
I hope with all my heart that you have a birth record of Eliza Jane Taylor Truitt, as I have no record of who her parents are.
Look forward to hearing from you anytime, Patty.
Best wishes, Sherry Bradley
