Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I don't think I have come across Thomas Morris--when did he come to Ross County? Will keep an eye out for him. I am also interested in the Samuel Morris that appears in early 1800s Ross Co. censuses. "Samuel" was a very common name in my Morris families. I think Samuel was the same one who married Rebecca McDonald in Frederick Co. in 1797, but again, don't know for certain where he came from or where he went.

You asked where I got my info: I have gotten most of my info from census, military, and marriage records--primarily in books or on the internet, and most recently Frisby Morris' 1812 Pension Application, which contained details of where he enlisted and where he served, etc.
