I have been searching for an E. Thompson Campbell and a Margaret( Ashby )Campbell who had a son born in Chillicothe around 1873 . I do not know what the E. stands for but someone answering a query of mine on another site found an Edward and Margaret Campbell ( married ) in Union Township on the 1870 census for Ross Co. . It may be of no relevence but I am curious to how far apart the 2 towns are from one another . On the 1870 census Edward Campbell was a bootmaker age 27 and Margaret was 22 . They had only 2 children that we know of : James Vermont Campbell b. 1871-72 , KY. and William Evans Campbell b. 1873 Chillicothe , Ross Co. , OH. .
James V. Campbell married Jessie Burden of Ga.
They had 5 children :
Earline Campbell b. Ga.
James Glasgow Campbell b. Ga.
Valeria Jessie Campbell b. Chester , S.C.
Elizabeth Campbell b. Ga.
Guilford Ashby Campbell b. Ga.

William Evans Campbell married Eva Sims of either Ga. or S.C. .
They had 3 children :
Rosabel Ashby Campbell b. S.C.
Francis Audrey Campbell b. S.C. or Ga.
Lawrence Thompson Campbell b. S.C. or Ga.

If you know of a Campbell , Thompson , or Ashby family that may have lived in the Ross Co. area that may have some of these names in their family line , please let me know .

Thanks a bunch !
