Carol, thanks for your help of 18 months ago. I now know that it is this Wesley's father that I am seeking. James Wesley Nolan (Nolend) was first married to Martha Campbell in Ohio and after her death moved to Madison/ Pulaski/White co, IN where he married one Martha A. (Plough/ Deale?). This was in his 60 but they had at least three children one of whom was Nancy Jane Nolan Hood my ggrandmother born 1854. I believe this martha A was born Plough and was probably sister of Jacob Plough of Rush county. It is possible that she married a Jacob Deale (the Indiana State Library list shows Decle but they agree that it is probably Deale)about 1831 in Rush co. Its likely that this marriage terminated about 1848 and she (Martha A.) then married Mr Nolan. Any information out there on this??Many thanks. Ron
