H. F. Tingley Dies, Fruit Farm Owner Harold Frank Tingley, 67, of 1139 Piper Rd. died Friday afternoon at People’s Hospital, following a 10-day illness. Mr. Tingley was born in Richland County, and had lived in this area all his life. He was the owner and operator of the Tingley Fruit Farm and Nursery and a member of the Cathedral of Tomorrow at Akron. Mr. Tingley was a member of the Madison Board of Education for 12 years, and served as clerk of the board for eight years and was active in 4-H work in Richland County for 20 years. Surviving are his wife, Thelma Casto Tingley; one son Charles of 1139 Piper Rd.; two daughters, Mrs. Earl G. (Margaret) Hill, Hoover Rd., and Mrs. James H. (Norma) Moore of 1386 East Hanley Rd.; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Everett K. of Lexington and C. Raymond of Mt. Gilead. Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Calvary Bible Church in charge of the Rev. Harold Legant. Burial will be in the Windsor Cemetery.
