Verda G. Boreman

MANSFIELD—Verda G. Boreman, 84, of 128 N. Brookwood Way died Tuesday morning in Mansfield General Hospital after a short illness.

She was born June 6, 1905, in Chester Township in Lorain County, the daughter of Leon and * Rosa E. Long Rogers, now deceased.

Mrs. Boreman was a homemaker and had lived in Shelby for 50 years before moving to Mansfield in 1972.

She is survived by a son, William “?” Boreman Jr. of Shelby; a daughter, Doris Beck of Crestline; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Donna Zellner of Mansfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Ray” Boreman in 1970, and a brother and a sister.

Calling hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. the Rev. Howard Rand, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Crestline. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery Shelby.

*According to the 1910 U. S. Census, her mother’s name is listed as Rosa E. The newspaper column was cut off on the left margin was unable to read.
