I think we have corresponded before about the Bell line.
My 5th g-grand uncle was the James McCluer that sold the land to Robert Bell. Evidently, Thomas Yearian, a son of George Yearian and Elizabeth Bell, came to see James McCluer in Richland County about purchasing the land.
I'm still puzzled why my 4th great grandfather, Thomas McCluer, would name one of his sons George Yearian McCluer.my 3rd Great Grandfather, John A. McCluer, named one George Yearian McCluer as well.
The Yearians also lived in the same place in Perry County Illinois as did some of my McCluer line (James and George Yearian McCluer - brothers to my John A. McCluer.)
Then more Yearians appear in Idaho in Yearianville, Lemhi County, Idaho along with descendants of James McCluer of Richland County.
They seemed to have co-existed now for over two centuries in different states and I have not found any connections other than being neighbors and what you know about the Bell connection.
A curious mystery I have not solved.
