Sally, You are a wonderful person to spend so much time helping people with their research. This is the 2nd time I have seen a reference to VanWert being the home to many Welsh descendants. That is why I have been reading the VanWert postings since it neighbors Putnam Co. Do you ever see the name Pugh? I know very little about my gfather's ancestry, mainly because he knew very little. Howard Clinton Pugh was born 1882-1884 in Putnam Co. His father was Newton R. Pugh who died in Lucas Co when Howard was 12, leaving him to support a step grandmother. His mother had died when he was 2. Although there are zillions of Pughs, many of them in OH, I don't have enough info to link to them. So if you could let me know if it is a name that you have seen in the area, it would give me a logical place to pursue my search. Thanks very much. Kathy
