This John Jones is listed in the Pike Twp., Marion County, Indiana 1860 census as living there with his son, William, and William's wife, Nancy (Madison). William and Nancy's children who were still living at home were Reuben (18), Lewis M. (16) and Edward L. (14). Also living with them was Emma A. Goff who was born in Ohio.

Mary was John's second wife, whom, he married on on November 28, 1841. She died on October 2, 1865. I don't know where John died, but know he was buried in State Line Cemetery in Preble Co., Ohio.

I am very interested in this Captain John Jones and his descendants and ancestors. He is my 3rd Great grandfather on my mother's side, and my 4th Great grandfather on my father's side.
